Join us on another breathtaking virtual walking tour in Killarney National Park, County Kerry, as we explore the majestic Torc Waterfall. Local guide, Richard Clancy from Killarney Guided Walks, will lead you on this immersive journey through the heart of nature.

As you begin your virtual walk, Richard will introduce you to the history of the area surrounding Torc Waterfall. You'll follow the trail up along the Owengarriff River, taking in the impressive sight and sound of the full-flowing waterfall.

The trail then continues up the steep stone steps, through native woodland adorned with beautiful rhododendron. You'll cross over the Owengarriff and take a moment to rest by the riverside, surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature.

Continuing along the Old Kenmare Road, you'll venture out onto the old, half-hidden cobbled stone road, built in the 17th century, to facilitate the movement of people and trade between Killarney and the seaside town of Kenmare through mature woodland before opening out onto the expansive open moorland.

Here, Richard will enlighten you on the history of the people who lived in the area in the 17th and 18th centuries, including the Augustinian monks who hid out from Cromwellian forces under Lord Ludlow in 1652 in Friar's Glen.
